Beef Wellington came out over cooked, it still tasted good. The problem was I did individual filets and didn’t cut the cook time down enough. Lesson learned!I served it with roasted butternut squash and sautéed spinach. I prefer my steak med/rare, so next time I will sear just slightly first. Then cook 10/10 minutes instead of 10/15. I always try to buy organic, wild or sustainable raised food. I would love to have my own garden but we don’t have the real estate for it. I do however have a little herb garden window planter. :).
I never use artificial color or flavor in my baking/cooking. Take a look at what “regular” food coloring is made from… http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Food_coloring Whole foods sells natural colors for about $13 sounds expensive compared to the “regular stuff” at about $3 but it’s a small price to pay for good health. Remember to refrigerate the good (natural) stuff. Or you can always make your own with berry juice.
