Kale chips
All you need is fresh kale, a tablespoon or two of olive oil, and salt & pepper. If you would like to get creative try adding things like turmeric or cayenne pepper. I have a steak seasoning mix that tastes great on them also.
How to:
Wash and dry your kale leaves. If they are large leaves remove the large vein in the middle with a sharp knife. I used smaller leaves here, so I skipped that step.
Brush the leaves with olive oil and lay them out evenly on parchment paper.*
Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until they are crisping up but not to brown.
*I always use natural parchment paper as opposed to the more common bleached kind, Stephanie from Keeper of the home, explains that and other toxic kitchen products to avoid here http://www.keeperofthehome.org/2012/04/9-ways-to-get-rid-of-hidden-toxins-in-your-kitchen.html
