Bread pudding with homemade vanilla ice cream

Super easy Bread pudding Ingredients:

  • 6 slices white bread
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
  • 4 eggs, beaten
  • 1 1/2 cup milk of choice
  •  1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Break bread into small pieces into an 8 inch square baking pan. (I use a glass bread pan for a thicker piece) Drizzle melted butter or margarine over bread. If desired, sprinkle with raisins. In a medium mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Pour over bread, and lightly push down with a fork until bread is covered and soaking up the egg mixture. Bake in the preheated oven for 45 minutes, or until the top springs back when lightly tapped.

Very very rich vanilla ice cream Ingredients:

  • 4 cups heavy cream
  • 1 (14 ounce)Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla extract

In large bowl, combine ingredients; mix well. Pour into ice cream maker according to manufacturer’s instructions. Freeze until firm.

Note: for a lighter ice cream use 1/2 and 1/2 , this one is very rich 😉
